Storing eierballen and shelf life

Properly storing fresh eierballen is important for quality and shelf life. Eierbal.nl eierballen are delivered fresh, unfried and chilled. The information below applies to our tray of Groningen eierballen.

How should you store eierballen?

Refrigerate the eierballen immediately after delivery at 0 to 5 °C. Ideally, place the package in the refrigerator as soon as possible after it arrives.

How long do eierballen keep?

Our fresh, unfried eierballen have an average shelf life of 7 to 14 days. The date on the packaging is always decisive, so check the use-by date when the package arrives and before use.

Can you freeze eierballen?

No. Our eierballen are not suitable for freezing. Keep them refrigerated between 0 and 5 °C.

How long after opening?

After opening the airtight packaging, the eierballen can be kept for a maximum of 2 days, provided the stated use-by date has not been exceeded.

Chilled delivery within the Netherlands

We ship the eierballen chilled with reusable cooling elements. Orders are normally dispatched from Tuesday through Thursday. This chilled product is delivered within the Netherlands only.

Chilled transport is more vulnerable in hot weather. Whenever possible, make sure someone can receive the parcel and refrigerate the eierballen immediately.
